Alright, it's been a minute since I've gotten one out, but I've got a good reason...I forgot. It's been an intense transfer, I was busy up in Bellingham, but Seattle is a different kind of busy. There's so many more Latinos, but they all work insane hours and so finding is insane. We've got this one spot, outside of a shelter for people that just got in the country or homeless people, amd the majority of them are from South América which is fantastic for us. The bad part is that it does belong to another church so we can't really go inside...BUT, we camp outside amd wait till they come out so we can swoon em over to our religion. We made 10 friends in a week after doing this.

Another highlight is we have a friend who has been taught for probably like...8,9 months and he said he couldn't progress cause he was dealing with divorcing his wife in México. But we got FANTASTIC news! He got it all done!! Yes! Usually it's sad, but he came to us all excited, and if he was excited, how could we not? Since then we've been meeting with him and trying to get him to progress towards baptism. We had an amazing lesson about repentance and how we can be forgiven for everything we've done as long as we are willing to put forth our best foot to change. We did go a little past curfew teaching the lesson...BUT, worth it cause the spirit was so strong during the lesson. And then he drove off and got knicked by a police officer cause he took a turn too soon. He doesn't have a license. But he got off free! I'm so proud of him.
We walked around the temple grounds with some recent converts, had a lesson there about next steps and it was rad. Super awesome lesson.
We had our MLC this last Saturday and it was amazing. Our mission president talked all about correction and how we need to stay humble in all of our doings, excepting correction as we go, to be able to become the best us we can be. To be especially attentive to the corrective voice of the holy spirit. Correcting with love more than anything else, just like the spirit does, leads to better unity in the companionships, ability to work better and stronger, and dedicate more every day, to the Lord. Becoming a true disciple, willing to do whatever it takes to serve the Lord with all your heart, might, mind, and strength. That is exactly what I aspire to do on my mission.
Also Roman's 8:31. Gas scripture.

Heyy, my fault for not getting an email out sooner, it's been a wild few weeks. So staring off from the last email, im in Seattle now, I made it and im loving it. First thing, we've got a whole spanish ward down here, it's the most beautiful thing ever. So many members, and they're amazing. Although the only downside is the best ones are moving out...but I'm sure I'll survive.
The first weekend I moved into the area we had a collective 6 parties. A ward party on friday, with food, a quinceñera, a wedding and baptism combo, that was intense cuase u had just gotten into the are and right away had to baptism and marry people, but hey...we got em done so that's a win. And then we had another ward party, and a farewell party for a YW in the ward that's going on a mission. So basically I love this ward.
We've seeen some miracles already in the work. Me and my companion have seen so many blessings come from putting forth our best effort, and in doing so, we have made 10 friends this last week. The usually aversge around 2 friends every week. So hopefully that brings into view how absolutely insane that us, for me at least. And like not to float my own boat BUT, my Spanish is fire. It's like a small fire l, not quite a bonfire level yet but like...gimme a few months and I'll get there.
Seattle from a distancia is gorgeous, it's in the middle of the forest, plenty of cool buildings, so the view is fsntastic, but the city life...i wish i could say the ssme. I haven't seen more prostitutes and heroin in my life bro. Ross stores are pretty much owned by the homeless, I haven't seen one yet without 20 or so crackies outside. So I never really enjoyed the City life before moving to sesttle, but now that I'm here...I am now even less of a fan. But my presidents motto for Seattle is this "we've gotta take back Seattle" so my works pretty cut out for me. We've been making some progress id say. We just got a few million to go and well have it taken over.
One quick crackie story and then I'll wrap up. So were driving to get down to seattle for a lesson, and we are having a great time, listening to mormon tabanacle choir, talking about our lesson, when we see these guys on the side of the Road, one of them just bashing this other guys head into a wall, saying just sboit every cuss word in the books, both English and Spanish...so of course me and my comp did the logical thing. We turned the car around to go talk to thus guy about God. Cause Hispanics love God. So, we get outta the car, some guys calling the police, and we just talk to this guy about how we are all sons and daughters of God, and what came over him to harm another spirit child of God. And my man's was fried, I don't think he was in the same universe as us, he just slowly spinned in circles as we talked. We gave him a pass along card tho. And then he got arrested. Seattle.
Even through the hard moments, like living in a cespool of sin, there is still light, in others, in ourselves. And because of the increasing darkness in the world today, it's becoming even more prevelant to grow that light, become guiding lights for others. My mission president shared this quote about lighthouses, and guiding lights along the shore, based off a hymn I believe. "The master will take care of the greatest lights, we should keep the lower lights burning." God will always be that máster light, so it is our duty to be those lower lights, to help guide the lost ships back to safety in the doces.
Alright that's it.
NEW COUCH. That we had to bring up to the fourth floor.
