Sept. 11, 2024

Hey yall, it's been a minute but that's become pretty common recently. This week I did hit a big landmark tho. 6 months till home which is wild, so I thought id write a lil something, give yall an update.

We had interviews with president Oakes, da goat. He told me I'll probably stay another with my curent comp. Tbh I'm lowkey struggling with this guy but ig God knows ive gotta learn something from my time with him so ill stick it out. God knows what I need.

We went on a fire hike last pday, to Wallace falls. Such a beautiful spot.

It's salmón season so I'm finna start up fishing, get us some grub. Lifes good. The members down here are SO RAD. They feed us like every day. Sometimes they just order as a pizza which is so fire. Unheard of in spanish land but so rad.

There's also this amazing catholic thrift store in Monroe and I've been going way too often. Worth it tho. I've gotten a brand new pair of wranglers, a tackle box, two sweaters and 3 ties, all for under $15. Can't do much better than that. Thrift store finding goes crazy. We only go on pdays tho cause we can't prosilyte in a catholic establishment. Unless we don't get caught.

Lifes good, testimony of Jesus Christ has done nothing but grow ever since I came on my mission. There's been highs, plenty of lows, but through it all my saviors been right there with me as I teach of Him and share of His light. I love the peace he's brought me in my life. I wanted to share a piece of elder Uchdorf's talk "A Higher Joy" ; The peace He gives us is not like what the world gives. It’s better. It’s higher and holier. Jesus said, “I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.”

How cool is that! So simple but such a powerful truth of the mission of our Savior. The peace He offers is better. I can testify of that as I've gone through my mission I've felt of that peace, and it is better than anything the world can offer me. Choose Him!

Love you guys, ill try to write soon but try not to get your hopes up. Have a great week. God bless!
