This last week was wild. I've been all over the place doing anything and everything.
To start off our week, we moved apartments that we only had lived in for maybe a week, so we got packed up and moved into a new apartment, which smells like old wood and pee. Not the best combination ngl. So that was a rocky start to the week but nothing terrible.
The absolute best part of the week tho, was when we had a man come down to give a tour for our mission. This man was Elder Cordon. I love this guy, El es lo maximo. He gave us lessons about preach my gospel, obedience, ragged on us for being the worst at studying preach my gospel in the entirety of the USA, all the great stuff. My mission needed it tho. We've unfortunately had way too many people sent home for being stupid, so we needed Elder Cordon to whip us into shape.
My absolute favorite part tho...is I got to teach with him. Just me, my companion, and him. How crazy is that?! I, of course, being as amazing as I am, contributed absolutely nothing to the lesson. BUT, I was there...so that counts for something. I did my best sharing my testimony at the end. I call that a success. But I'm blown away by how much he knew relating to the gospel. He practically has PMG memorized, along with every single scripture in it. A legend.
And to cap the week off, I had my first baptism!! For a guy by the name of Jorge Fuentes. The most spiritual guy. He started lessons 3 weeks ago, in Colorado because that's where he works, and then once he came up here to his house, we baptized him. He had been looking for the true gospel for 40 years, had never been baptized because he needed to know it was true. And he finally found it. He is one of the most spiritual people I have ever met with such a strong testimony, just after 3 weeks. Truly a miracle.
I'm so glad for all the miracles I see in this mission, they are around every corner y estoy emotionado a encontrar mas milagros en esta mision.
Sorry for the short email! The grind continues, I'll catch up with you guys next week.
Also I went to the San Juan Islands to search for las ovejas perdida.
