I was gunna write this last week but I forgot, so that is on me. But I am here now, so I'll fill ya'll in on the juice.
After a minor drought of finding Latinos that are interested, we have found three that are crazy promising!! Alright, first on that list is gunna be Maynor Omar. He is un chapurín, de Guatemala. He used to be a gourmet chef over there so he made us this bomb naranjada when we went over. And he invited us over this week for steak so…he's a g. He's got amazing questions about the church and how he can ccome to know his Savior more which is amazing. He's struggling with some WOW stuffs, so please keep him in your prayers.
Jimmy, my boy. He is such a faithful guy, he lives like 35 minutes from the church but he still pulled up without fail. Our Spanish zone leaders put this guy on date first contact without knowing where he lived at first, but then realized he lives in our area boundaries, Interesting situation but this hombre is super friendly which is rad. A little fun fact about el Español Nicaragüense, they replace tu with vos. Which is confusing cause usually thats vosotros form but in this case its just tu...but vos. like, como estas vos? I dunno.
NERI, el escuincle del hora, the kid of the hour. He is getting baptized this Saturday!! He's been going to church for over a year, and he's finally on date! He is an amazing example to his family of following in the footsteps of Christ. Please pray for him so that he follows through with his decision!
This last week I have seen the ṕayoff of obedience and how it can really bless the work, and lives, of those who live by the promises weve made with our Heavenly Father. He's shown me so much love and grace, and so many miracles as I try my best to do as I've promised to do. God blesses those who try. Who take steps towards him. No matter the size, no matter the distance. God loves you. He loves me, and he loves all his children! How blessed are we to know these things?
I love this scripture I read the other day. In the book of Ether 12:8.
8 But because of the faith of men he has shown himself unto the world, and glorified the name of the Father, and prepared a way that thereby others might be partakers of the heavenly gift, that they might hope for those things which they have not seen."
God loves us so much that He sent His son, Jesus Christ to die for us so we could live again, with Him, for eternity. I love my Heavenly Father, my Savior Jesus Christ, and their gospel. I testify of the complete and total truth of this gospel and the blessings that come from obeying the laws and commandments that God has given us. I've come to know of the truth of it all and how amazing the blessings that come from them are. And I testify of these things in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
